Week 9 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets

Week 9 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets

DeAngelo Williams –  The terrible season ending knee injury to Le’Veon Bell makes DeAngelo the top waiver wire option.  Hopefully you saved some of that FAAB money for this extremely useful handcuff.

Jeremy Langford – Matt Forte has a knee injury that will hold him out a few weeks and Langford will pick up the slack this week in a juicy match up against the San Diego Chargers.

CJ Spiller – The increased use of CJ in the passing game and injury to Khiry Robinson has Spiller looking like a great pick up in PPR leagues.  The Saints Defense isn’t getting any better so there should be plenty of passes thrown his way.

Pierre Thomas – With the litany of injuries suffered by the San Francisco 49ers, Pierre Thomas finally got the call back to the NFL.  Thomas should be a nice target for a RB in a PPR league in a few weeks.

Malcolm Floyd – With Keenan Allen suffering a lacerated Spleen it looks like Phillip Rivers will again have to lean on his big dep threat receiver in San Diego.

Kamar Aiken – Aiken becomes the defacto number one wide receiver in Baltimore with the season ending injury to Steve Smith.  He will have some hit and miss weeks, but Baltimore’s defense means he will see a bunch of targets.

Dorial Green-Beckham – The change at head coach could mean we see more of the talented rookie in the passing game.

DeSean Jackson – Jackson may have been dropped by an impatient owner in your league and becomes a top priority pick up for me in standard leagues.

Nate Washington – Nate Washington has been so steady since Cecil Shorts went down with injury that I think he will keep the number two role going forward.

Ben Watson – Watson is a target monster in an offense where the QB loves throwing to his tight ends.

Heath Miller – Big Ben loves him some Heath Miller and I love when the two play together.  He is up and down, but still needs to be owned in every league.

Austin Sefarian-Jenkins – The Giants have not figured out a way to cover a tight end yet this season and if ASJ is healthy he will clearly be the best match up for the Bucs to exploit.
